Overview
The Fast Lane Snake Bite monster truck is this year's version of what has previously been sold as the Wild Fire (just a different body & color scheme). This is a true monster, over 23" long with tires that are almost 9" in diameter. You have to see it to believe it. I have to admit I was very skeptical in advance about its performance, especially after seeing that it uses a standard-sized 9.6V battery that's often used in vehicles 1/3rd this size. However, the truck manages to be very light in weight for its size thanks to a thin upper body, and tires that are made of a tough foam-like material. I could go into fine details of features & construction, but a better use of your time would be to skip straight to the testing video.

Conclusion
Awe. Some. This thing is a win -- a big win. After my initial testing session I had four full-grown adults swooning around this thing & taking turns driving it over stuff & trying to abuse it. Every single one of those full-grown adults had ear-to-ear grins when driving this thing. Just imagine the joy it will bring to a young boy. My biggest word of caution is that you should not buy it online. Because it is so huge, shipping costs a lot, and in the off chance you get one with a factory defect, shipping it back for a replacement will be a major hassle. Fast Lane RC is a Toys R Us exclusive brand, so find your nearest TRU location if you want to pick one of these up, or even just to see how huge it really is in person. What a rush!
